Founded in 2015 as a family-owned business, South Seas Construction has grown from a small subcontractor into a trusted main contractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across Auckland. Led by Construction Manager Josh T. Moala, our team of skilled carpenters and builders bring decades of experience, craftsmanship, and passion to every project.
Our Journey
Like many great Kiwi businesses, we started small. Our first projects included foundation and carpentry work for a 6-storey apartment in Rosedale, Auckland. From there, our reputation for safety, workmanship, and reliability quickly opened doors to larger opportunities.
By late 2015, we were proud to be trusted by Summerset Holdings Limited to build complex villas at their Ellerslie retirement village. Each villa, valued at approximately $4 million, demanded the highest standards of precision and finish — standards our team continues to deliver today. To date, we have successfully built multiple villas and continue to support major developments with the same level of care and pride.
Alongside residential builds, we have also delivered large-scale projects such as installing 420 pre-cast wall panels across a 10,000 sqm, 7-storey development — showcasing our capability to handle highly technical and specialised work.
